Open Question: What should I do about my mom trying to control me even though I’m a legal adult?
I’m going to be 19 years old in a few weeks (I’ve been a legal adult for a while now) and I live at my parents’ house still but I financially contribute on a regular basis. I pay rent/room and board every 2 weeks (always on time) and I pay for my car insurance, cell phone bill, etc. I am respectful of my parents home atmosphere and I consistently have manners toward their lifestyle. I don’t bring people over to their house, I never play music/tv loud, and my parents never have complaints of what I do in their home. Here is where it gets rocky though: my mom still tries to control how I am outside of the house. She constantly wants to know where I am going, who I’ll be with, and what I’ll be doing. She gives me specific times to be home and if I leave out any information or say that I don’t know if I’ll be back by that time, she steals my house key and/or gives me the cold shoulder and starts verbally fighting with me about it. She wants to dictate who I date still as well. She says “my house, my rules” but I try to tell her that I respect the rules she has inside her home, but now that I’m a legal adult financially contributing to live at her house, the rules she had when I was a minor teenager about knowing where I am, what I am doing and who I am doing it with outside of the house can’t apply anymore. We have been arguing about this a lot lately as I’ve recently been going out of the house more often. Should I just avoid her as much as possible so I don’t get cornered into being grilled by her and just come and go as I please? That’s what I feel like would be best for my life, but I just don’t want it to backfire by her stealing my belongings or taking other drastic measures to try to control what I do outside of her home. Do you think I should take the risk? (And I’ll still be respectful and have manners when I’m at her house and I’ll still pay rent on time and everything, I just wouldn’t be abiding by her “curfews” and I wouldn’t be telling her every detail of my outside life).
I can’t afford to move out. I have a full time job but what money doesn’t go toward paying rent and bills goes toward saving for college (which I’m going back to in the fall) and so if I moved out I wouldn’t have medical insurance or be able to afford to save any money for school, so moving out isn’t an option ![]()
I CAN’T MOVE OUT!!!!!
Open Question: Whats up with illegal aliens and Medical Care? Why are there so many of them in the hospitals?
They have no health insurance yet the whole medical care industry is wrapped up around them. I barely see a doctor or go to the hospital. When I do the doctors and nurses act like they don’t want me there or something. One time I fell and I got severely hurt. I showed them my health insurance card. I got treated like they didn’t want me there.
There were illegals there that had nothing wrong with them using Med Cal. Many didn’t even have that and applied for charity. Yet they got the best health care treatment that money can buy.
The nurses were calling them Mommy and Poppy and they were all hugging and showing so much affection. It looked more like a get together or a barbecue without the food then a hospital. One guy was in there with no health insurance and all he had was a splinter in his finger.
Meanwhile I had blood gushing out of me and all I had was a piece of cloth to keep from bleeding to death. They were acting like they didn’t notice or that it was disgusting. When they did finally see me they told me they had no bandages so I would have to buy them at the pharmacy.
Some of them were laughing in the back ground so I know they were making fun of me. The gringo was one big joke. I finally got fed up and went home and dealt with it myself.
Can anyone tell me why there is so many illegal aliens in the hospitals and doctors office?
Why not just take a motrin? I mean they don’t even have insurance?
It does not matter where I go or which doctors office I go to that is all you see?
So maybe Obama should look at that to see why the Health care is broken. Are illegal aliens more prone to sickness or are they just a bunch of cry babies?
BTW most of the illegal aliens in there had nothing wrong with them. So why is it that illegals love the medical care so much? Even where I work that is all they talk about the premiums keep going up cause they go see the doctor for a headache a stomach ache etc. The people that work with me have insurance and they have special doctors that only work with them. They get disability from these doctors for silly things like being sad lmao.
Meanwhile I have high blood pressure with high cholesterol, back problems, knee problems and sever Migraines from the blood pressure. I am told to tough it out. WTF doesn’t anyone see something really wrong here? This is a sanctuary city and state.
. show you proof for what so you can report this question. Every time I show proof you and one of your little buddies start to report me so screw you asshole.
frack you library your mother sucks cocks in hell and your father is a tansvestite that gets it up the ass. He gives bj’s in broadway while your delusional ass watches and then goes there to help out.
Your whole family does this for 50 cents a week.

Sorry for the outburst but its amazing how people like librarya can insult people and get away with it. Meanwhile I am just asking a simple question and it gets pulled out.
She is attacking and insulting everyone in yahoo answers yet she and her answers are all still here.
Yahoo answers seems to be discriminating against white people.
Open Question: What would you do in this situation?
A good friend offered me a job where he is the general manager. The pay is only $10 hour but can include benefits IF you work full time. The business is seasonal so in summer the hours aren’t as much. Anyway, its a place that is open 24/7 so my schedule is all over the place. I dont know my schedule till a couple days before the beginning of the new week, if I am lucky. I have two kids of my own and help parent 4 more of my boyfriends because he has full custody. My boyfriend has a business from his home and is mad that I took a job someplace else when he really needs the help. He is offering to pay me and says that the money will be very good. I am just worried that I will not get paid regularly, I see sometimes how he is trying to get money in (he works on a commission basis in the insurance industry) However, if I work for him I will have my nights and weekends and holidays back and know what my schedule is. I know I really need to sit down and clarify all of this with him, I feel awkward about it though. Working together and being together is not a problem, but how do you ask your boyfriend for money (even though you earned it) if he is having a tough time paying his own bills? It could be a sweet position for me-I have an administrative background and was laid off. If I work for him and help him settle claims the money can come in quicker and both of us get paid quicker! I also feel guilty for quitting on my friend but he did say he did not expect me to make a career of the position and if I would just help him through the busy time that would be great. Shortly afterward though he had 3 people quit so he is severely understaffed. Right now I am working full time for him and fitting in hours at my boyfriend’s business around it. I know deep down I need to do what is best for me and forget what is best for my friend and my boyfriend. With the job with my friend I know I will get a regular paycheck although it wont be very big and the hours are not what I am used to, with my boyfriend I can make a lot more money but how often and have flexibility and regular hours. I am a hard worker and just want to be doing something I like-I have had jobs in the past that I loved and realize how important it is to enjoy your job. Any insight for me?
