Resolved Question: Who should pay for the damage in the Rental Appartment?
I rent the Condo out.
My Tenant was out for a few days.
At this time some pipe got frozen and the water damage got occured due to low temperature in the appartment.
My Tenant is claiming that the Thermostat was broken.
However he did not mentioned that to us.
I have no Homeowner insurance policy but Master Policy which doesn’t cover anything inside the building.
Who should be responsible for the cost of repair?

the condo in question was purchased with cash several years ago. no insurance was ever obtained on this property. about 4 years later I borrowed 40k against the condo to use to pay off other debt. I have been making the payments on a regular basis for the past several years. I never obtained homeowners insurance on this property. Wouldn’t the lender who lent the money require insurance in case of fire or other loss? Am i to assume that the insurance is built into the equity line? help if you can. I rented the property and now there was a fire and the renter had no insurance and neither do I. How can a bank lend that amount of money and not require some kind of insurance? Is that possible?

The board is denying my choice of window replacements since I want the bottom portion of the window to open instead of the top. Their concerns are liability. However, the windows are only 12 inches from the floor and are covered with heavy wooden blinds. I have liability insurance for my condo.
