Open Question: how do i fix a burn hole in the wall?
Last night i woke up to smoke and fire,a shelve in my living room had a candle left lit accidentally and the shelve caught on fire. I put it out and my wall is painted white but has some type of paneling. The fire burnt about a 5×8 in. hole in the paneling. I can see the wall behind the paneling and it looks to be fine just discolored and a few things melted to it I can scrape off. I’m terrified of how much this might cost me, seeing as I’m a renter not the owner and I dont have renters insurance because I’m unemployed and cant afford much right now. If anyone could help with ways to maybe fix this cheaply or how to at all would help. My wall looks like it has 3 main pieces of paneling and this burnt hole is in the middle of my wall of the center paneling piece. It looks to me like I could just replace the paneling and repaint it but i’m not a fixer upper person but it looks relatively easy. PLEASE HELP!
