Open Question: Dateline, Near Future, Huge Natural Disaster Hits the USA Putting Millions Out of Their Homes – What Next?
I have thought about how our government responded following Katrina, then put it in perspective if a far more devastating natural disaster happened – what would the response be? Could we even respond considering vast numbers of our national guard has been sent overseas? What about big business, our government, etc? Their roles.

Ponder this:

Following devastating floods in China a few years back, the government made a pledge to the people that the thousands of brick and mortar homes that were destroyed would be replaced to pre existing or better standards within a year. They met that goal ahead of time.

Two months after the devastating earthquake that hit the central part of China that killed 70,000 people, the government made a pledge they would rebuild to pre existing or better standards within 3 years. They also tied that into their recovery after the world wide economic melt down.

Why can China make such pledges but we can’t?

In short, how does it feel to be upstaged by a “third” world country that seems to care more about their people then we do?

Think about it, its not we the people, it is we the big business and lets wait for the insurance companies to sort this out and other such entities while China just looks at the problems, hunkers down and gets it done.

Do you really think we’ll do that, or more of the same of playing the waiting game while hope and futures vanish?

Think about it.
