Open Question: Can my steps sons father sue my homeowners insurance for a dog bite his son got? My wife has custody.?
My step son lives here, was bit by our dog, the dog was put down and all cost have been paid. There are no longterm problems with my stepson. As far as me and the wife are concerned its already taken care of but his dad who he does not live with and does not have custody is trying to sue our homeowners policy.

I already had coverage on my home that I just bought. I then decided to check other rates and found one that was cheaper. They told me all they had to do was fax some form to my mortgage company to cancel my other insurance but I didn’t realize my other insurance was already paid for the whole year. So, now the second company is sending me a bill for $230 dollars because I never paid them. Is there any way I can get out of paying them the $230 since I already have a policy?
