Open Question: What happens if I don’t fix roof and keep insurance money?
What happens if my homeowner’s insurance sent me a check for repairs to my roof and I spend it on bills instead? The same day we recieved the ins ck we also rec’d a notice from the irs saying they were going to put leins on some of our belongings. And we haven’t paid our property taxes. My husband had an accident and the surgery had a 2 month recovery time so he didn’t get paid. The contractor is ticked because we are not having the repairs done and says he will report us for insurance fraud. The check was made out to us only. Anyone know the scoop?

ie, how would you like to know how you can get a free roof? Or something that catches the attention of homeowners to get their insurance to cover their roof. Let me canvas the home and tell them what we do for the homeowner. We replace roofs and siding and other things from the yard even ac units. All at no cost to the homeowner. But a lot of people are just too skeptical. How do I convince them that there is nothing to hide, they have all the same facts I get. We work off of insurance proceeds only, unless they want to upgrade and then I can throw in a $250 or $500 coupon for duration shingles saying that you have 3-tab shingles and want something nicer and have a longer life. Closing lines would also help. Someone got the smack down for this type of job. Where can you ask, tell me about you? What are you looking at?
