Open Question: Can I claim for a ring without any documentation?
I have recently lost my engagement ring and am not sure if I can claim it back. It was a specified item on my contents insurance. My husband purchased it from Egypt and payed £4500 for it 4 years ago. The original documentation for it has been misplaced in our recent house move and I didnt get the time to get it valued. With the ring now lost I now have no proof of purchase! ; ( I imagine it was worth more but have it specified on the policy for what we paid for it.
Is there anyway I can still claim?

I have a ten year old Honda Civic, just over 40,000 miles, has a crack in the driver’s side rear bumper that I ignore. I have an excellent driving record, no points, am the only driver, am at that age where I’m not young enough or old enough to be considered a threat, but I live in a high rate state and money is more than tight and they just shot my house insurance through the roof, even though I never put in a claim, because, get this, there is a chance that someday we may have a hurricane! Am I being pennywise and pound foolish, or am I paying for something that won’t pay off even if I need it? Thank you!

I bought a new house about a year ago and rented it out. The letting agent, who was a friend, did not take deposits from the tenants!!!! dont ask!!!, I am now moving back into the property, but when I went round to take a look, the carpets are ruined. It was cream carpets throughout the house, and now it is covered in stains and cigerette burns throughout the whole house. Can I claim for this on my insurance, and what would be the chnces of them paying out?
