Open Question: it’s not about money, its the principle?
My bf has been living with me since last fall. He is divorced, no kids and I am a single mother of a teen. He was recently divorced when he moved in, but still sharing the house with his ex until they settled some of their finance issues but it bothered me that he was living with her and seeing me. Anway, he then moved in and I thought I was helping him out by not charging him right off. He still pays a mortgage on a house he has out of state (south) so he pays no heat or utils as no one lives there. Now its almost June, he still hasn’t paid towards my household, not toward heat last winter, not food, just things around the house that he fixes. He bought me a used washer/dryer for $200 when mine broke, things like that. My issue is not so much the money but the fact that his ex wife works full time and he’s been paying her phone bill and covering her on his insurance since their divorce, even though her company has it, and he doesn’t ask her to pay him back or cancel her from his plan. We went on vacation to his house down south and he had charged some things and told me how much I owe him for my kids things on his credit card. I am trying not to make this about money and already be fighting about money but when I’ve brought it up he says things like “well I still pay a mortgage myself” or “well you asked me to move in, I could have kept sharing the house with my ex until I was settled but it bothered you too much”. So then I feel guilty. Like I said, he does other things to help but it seems unfair and I don’t know why he doesn’t see my point. He told me he was cutting off her phone but never did becuase she said she’d get her own next month so he left it. I don’t get it.

Open Question: I have uninsured guys doing siding on my house. Is there an insurance I can buy to protect myself?
I heard if they fall and injure/kill themselves, they can sue me. I heard that my home owner’s insurance would not cover it, and that it would have to come out of my pocket. What kind of insurance can I buy to protect myself? How much does that run for? Any examples would be nice.
Thanks

FriendFeed One doesn’t have to participate in something to support that particular cause. I’m not gay, yet I support gay marriage and gay adoption. I’m not a toker, yet I support legalization of marijuana. Why is it then that making an argument in support of reasonable and responsible gun ownership means everyone assumes I own a gun?
