A neighbor’s tree fell on my property – it is a 4-plex (rental business). the tree fell due to extreme weather/wind. Is there any way you recommend I prepare for the meeting with the insurance adjuster. they already hired a contractor to do the job required due to damage. How should I prepare for the meeting and what should I say? Also, my deductible is very high $2000! – is there any chance to negotiate that?Is it commmon and recommended to request a cash settlement instead of them fixing it or in the case of a rental business will they just prefer paying the contractor directly to ensure the property is fixed properly and in good condition!? THANKS.

I have a question about my auto insurance. I just bought another car today ( trad my old one to Hyndai sonata 2007) and I called my insurance Company to switch the policy to the new car.. My previous car insurance was liability ( third person’s car coverage, cheapest one) and today she has set me up on full coverage that covers these following options:
Comprehensive ( other than collision) : $1.010 Ded. Current
Collision : $1,0,10- current
Emergency Road Service : Full coverage vehicle- current
Rental Reimbursement: $25/ Day. $910 Max
So i was wondering If i can decline any of these coverage from my insurance to get a cheaper rate..My compony Is Geico and im not quiet sure which of these coverages are mandatory and which is just optional( not really needed) Im not american and its a little hard for me to understand their policy on the phone.. would you help a little here to get a better deal?.. I really appreciate your time and advices already
