Resolved Question: How much would this cost?
I hit my neighbors car the other day pulling into the parking space. The front corner of my bumper bumped the back left bumper on her car. The black paint from my truck transfered over to her car. So it was just a scratch basically.
She got an estimate at an auto body shop today and the total is $567.95.
Is that reasonable?
Also, she wants us to pay for 2 days worth of a rental car.
The estimate she gave us quotes 13.1 hours of labor.
Also..how does this work? Do we pay before she gets it fixed? What? Would it be better to have our insurance cover it? I’m worried about our rates going up.

My son was recently in an accident. He was in stop and go traffic and the car inf ront of him stopped abruptly, causing him to stop abruptly and he says the car behind hit him. First, the rear car’s insurance accepted liability so my son got a rental car and took his in for quote. Now the same ins. company called to tell him that they would only accept liability for the back of the car as they have determined it is his fault since the first driver only heard one crash. He does not have liability so his insurnace will not get involved. What should he do?
