I’m currently expecting approximately $800.00 for a car rental reimbursement due to a car accident. Since then, my insurance rates have gone up about $60.00 more. I got a quote from progressive for $160.00 less than what I am paying right now. If I were to switch insurance companies, will I lose my claim?
Voting Question: Car rental in the UK (24 years old)?
Hi. I want to rent a car (pickup in London) for 5 days in easter because my car is playing up and I don’t trust it to get me to my holiday destination and back. My problem is that I am 24 years and 10 months old and the quotes I am getting are sticking me in the “young driver (under 25)” bracket so it is 30-50% more! I am a safe driver, had license 3 years and never claimed on insurance and got no points.
Could anyone point me in the direction of a provider whose young driver policy is 24, or who would let the 2 months slide?

Resolved Question: Im uninsured and i got into an accident.?
OK! So im in WA State and ive been in an accident recently. I am 20,uninsured and the party i hit had insurance. So it was establised that i was the one at fault. So at first we tried to settle it out so that the other party’s insurance wouldnt get involved and we got a quote of $1300 for the repairs. But didnt quite work out too well with the other party so they decided to get their insurance involved. I hit the right side of the front passenger door and had a dent about an inch of two wide atmost and then a scratch to it. So after that i got billed by the insurance company for about $3k. Isnt that too excessive? So i guess the price for the repair is like $2.1k and then the car rental is $600. But how could it go up that high? The customer service wasnt too nice and wasnt too helpfull. So i dont even know where to start and what to do in this situation. Ive never really been in this kind of situation before. Please help me out. Im really confused, pissed and just misrable. Thanks!
