Me and my ex boyfriend moved in together right after I turned 18. We got an apartment together so both of our names were on the lease and the water, sewer, and trash bill. We also got renters insurance in our names and car insurance. We lived together for a little over nine months when he decided he didn’t know what he wanted anymore so I got my name off of everything and left. I just remembered that the renters insurance is still in our name and I don’t really know if we are common law and need to know. Can any one help me?
Not only all that but we would tell everyone we were married. I had a ring and everything. I don’t really understand it I guess. I have heard so many things I just want the truth lol.

Done my research on the lease from a legal standpoint. Being sole signer I can technically toss their make-up and bed frames on the curb of the driveway, change the locks, and buy a Doberman, but I’m going to try to politely allow them the opportunity to remove their belongings like adults, although I put NOTHING past them. Is there legal protection for my property should it magically break or go missing? Would simple renter’s insurance cover something like this? No drilling padlocks on bedroom doors- help!

extra life insurance I pay $17 dollars a month for $45 thous at death but will end leaving me with nothing should I live to be 65 and I’m 59 now here’s the other I am a renter and for the past 8 yrs. pay renter’s insurance, we have 24 hour door man and building very secure. Recently I thought I’d be better off to cancel and take the total of that and buy myself some better life insurance that won’t end because I’ve turned 65 yr. What do you think?
